Have you heard of Ruckify? A platform that kind of sounds like a swear word with a fancy “ify” at the end? Well, Ruckify offers a unique opportunity for people (especially existing businesses) to earn money off the things they already own by renting them out to people in their community.
That is also how Joe felt the first time he rented out his Canon 5d mark iii on Ruckify.
“I was very nervous to rent it out, but I kept telling myself that the camera was never being used, it was just sitting there and originally cost me a fortune. I was able to easily insure my camera directly from the Ruckify platform which helped take the edge off, and Ruckify verifies all users to protect against fraud and criminal histories. I am happy to report my camera was safely returned and has gone out many times since then. It is a great way for me to make extra money and I don’t actually have to do anything. Ruckify even delivers it to the renters for me.” – Joe, member of Ruckify since 06.12.18
It doesn’t have to be just cameras or lenses — it can be anything at all! Even props, backdrops, lighting, reflectors, maternity dresses, heaters, fans, studio space, and anything outside the realm of photography if you so choose.
So how do you get started?
You simply sign-up for Ruckify. The sign-up process is annoying, but as Joe said, it’s to help protect all users against people with fraudulent histories.
After signing up you can create your free RuckifyStore, add a logo, description, and start posting items on the platform. It is free to post on Ruckify.
Ruckify takes a 10% fee after you rent out your things on Ruckify. You can easily include that in your overhead so it’s covered, along with the insurance fee.
After your item is posted, you can promote your store on social media and/or wait for someone to request renting your item.
Ta-da! The possibility of what you can earn by starting a little rental business is endless. Ruckify users have earned anywhere between $100 to $1000 a month on Ruckify.
