As we have all heard numerous times growing up, sharing is caring. That is exactly what Ruckify is looking to enable during this COVID-19 crisis. By partnering with United Way Toronto, United Way Calgary, United Way Eastern Ontario, Connected Canadians, Austin Free-Net, and others, we have facilitated numerous donations and rentals to those in need.
The caring economy connects those who need various items in this time of difficulty. By working with organizations that monitor and assist with such difficulties, Ruckify has been able to provide tablets, cell phones, laptops, and more.
What you can do
The time to help your community through the caring economy is now. As things slowly become more difficult to manage. Your neighbors will need help obtaining items that were once easy, but now suddenly impossible. Technology like cell phones, tablets, and laptops can help reconnect families. Connect people with their doctors, therapists, and other service professionals that they could once meet with face to face and now, no longer can.
Through these tragic times as a result of COVID-19 we have learned not to take the normal for granted. It is no longer individuals going about their daily lives. It is a community that now has to work together and trust each other in order to overcome a pandemic. Now while staying home contributes a lot to the safety of your community. Lending an extra hand can go a long way in improving the new normal in the lives of your neighbors. Now is the most important time to become a part of the caring economy.
What the caring economy needs
The following is a list of needs Ruckify has been able to fulfill with the help of the caring economy. As well as needs that can still greatly benefit from your donations or rentals.
